Trust by Duffy Sheridan is an abundant feast for the senses.
The subject stands quietly and gazes confidently at us with open and generous hands.
Her beauty is not the modern American standard (although, thankfully, this is slowly changing), but rests in her quiet confident abundance.
She invites us to trust in the bounty of Providence and to rest in that strength.

I see many things with this picture. My first thought is she is turning over her worries, letting go, giving them to God. My second tought is she is giving of herself from her heart, sending love outward to all mankind. Then, possibly it could also be that she is opening her hands to receive. Amazingly enough, she can actually be doing all three at the same time!
I like that!!
At first glance, this looked like a photograph. A fine piece of art.
I'm not sure if her face is meant to convey patience or weariness. Perhaps some of each?

Her robes are gorgeous. It looks like she is wearing a stained glass window. I like her youth - the young soul giving herself to God.
It is such a beautifully done work of art.
