Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

Sunday Snippets is brought to you each week by RAnn at a This, That and the Other Thing.

Last week started out with a Holy Trinity Sunday post explaining the famous icon of the Holy Trinity. Music Monday was Taps in honor of our fallen heros on Memorial Day. Tuesday started a new feature at the Well, Art and Beauty Tuesday. For our first installment, we looked at The Umbrellas by Renoir.

Friday was National Donut Day, and Saturday we talked about Psalm 143 and begging God to rescue us from the enemy. Today is Corpus Christi Sunday and I blogged about Eucharistic processions and our religious freedom.

Have a wonderful week!

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
