Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

Sunday Snippets is brought to you each week by RAnn at This, That and the Other Thing.

This week has been a big week for saints. I reviewed a book about St. Anthony of Padua, I posted about the feast of Sts. Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, the Guardian AngelsSt. Thérèse,  and St. Francis.

I also posted a couple of more personal things.  I asked everyone to please pray for an old friend of mine who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and I posted about the 50th anniversary of my parents' marriage.

God bless everyone and have a peaceful week.

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
