Outrageous Watch--Cyber Security Act of 2009
A bill currently making its way through congress would give the federal government unprecedented power over the internet. Under the guise of...what else...homeland security (!) the bill would give the President power to SHUT DOWN THE INTERNET and disconnect infrastructure. The bill would also federalize internet infrastructure security and tip the balance of power to the side of the federal government.

In other words, "Just in case we ever want any information, we are above any law. Don't say we didn't warn you."

How would they do that?
Honestly, my first reaction when I started to hear this one was that it was a hoax, but I'm starting to have a hard time distinguishing between absurd conspiracy theory scams and administration press releases. . . . kidding. ... .kind of. .. .
That's how I feel. Its hard to tell reality from non-reality.
We have to resist this sort of encroachment by the Government. It sure is frustrating at times to see them overreach in the name of "security".
Yeah, it sure it. Both parties have done it, apparently.
