Sunday Snippets, A Catholic Carnival

Sunday Snippets is brought to you each week by RAnn at This, That and the Other Thing.

Since my last Sunday Snippets, I wrote about The Importance of Stability, The Threat to Religious Freedom, and The Fortnight for Freedom, the Japanese trend of cat cafes, and Thoughts on the Spiritual Treasure of Charity.  I also wrote two 7 Quick Takes Friday posts which are worth checking out.

I like mysteries, myself. I haven't heard of that one, though, but it sounds interesting. I'll have to check it out.

Dymphna's favorite quotes

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
