Urgent special intention

Could you all please pray for a friend of mine? Her son is severely depressed--possibly suicidal, her daughter is very frightened and emotionally fragile, and her husband is due to visit his aging mother overnight tonight.

St. Dymphna, patroness of those who suffer from mental illnesses, pray for them!

St. Dymphna, we beg you to beg God for consolation and strength for our suffering brothers and sisters.

Jesus, we trust in you!

~Amen

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
