RIP Tim Russert

Tim Russert, host of Meet the Press, the longest running program in television history, has collapsed and died at the Washington News Bureau where he worked. He was 58.

May he rest in peace.

How sad! I actually didn't hear that he had died until Lino talked about it on his show Friday.

I always liked how Russert would fondly speak about his Jesuit/Catholic upbringing and education. He was someone who was definitely proud of his roots.

I missed Leno's show on Friday!! Maybe I'll catch it this weekend.

RIP Tim Russert.

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
