"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "—

Cool! Did you cook a turkey, MK?
oh it's that time already!
Its Spring there, Carmel, isn't it?
Thanks...I didn't have great of a holiday but I still had lots to be thankful for.
And I cooked a turkey, 2 pumpkin pies, and all the trimmings.
Only thing I don't do is that green bean casserole everyone seemed to rave about in the USA when I lived there!
Hope everyone else had a good turkey day.
Sorry your holiday was less than stellar, Jennifer.
