Music Monday--Supplemental

Virtual Abbey has three Advent playlists on YouTube--two traditional and one more contemporary.

Please click the link above and check them out.  Scroll down on the page until you see the Advent playlists.  Not every song, or every artist, will be to everyone's taste, but it is a nice alternative to starting Christmas too early.

Edited to add:  I'd forgotten that I made my OWN Advent Playlist!!  The music there is more traditional.  Click on the link to check it out.

Celebrate Advent!

This is so lovely of you to put links to these playlists. I think we have similar tastes in music.

Thanks so much. I really loved some of the pieces I found on YouTube for Advent.

Dymphna's favorite quotes

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
