Music Monday--Advent--People Look East

This is such a nice Advent Carol that I like to include, usually near the end of Advent. It talks about the anticipatory joy of Advent.  (Also, I love the idea of the Church as a whole "looking East" to the Orthodox Church to "breathe with both lungs.)

Thank you Dymphna, I never heard this one.
Something to think about:

Love, the guest is on the way
Love, the rose is on the way
Love, the star is on the way
Love, the Lord is on the way

I'm glad I could introduce it to you, Joann! I ended up singing this yesterday in church.

One of my favorites. Thank you for sharing it!

Dymphna's favorite quotes

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
