Prayers for my son

My son became a father for the first time last week.  His son, Timothy Michael, is now 10 days old and my son now has pneumonia.  As his mom, I am worried because he did not have too many respiratory issues as a child and now he and his wife seem to be continually battling this.

Please, if you have a moment, say a prayer for my son to recover quickly and for his son to remain healthy.

What a dear picture, Dymphna! Congratulations on the birth of your grandchild. Please be assured of my prayers for your son; I will especially remember him at Mass tomorrow. May God bless you and Our Lady protect you all.

prayers for your son, and his family. i battled a terrible 3 month bout of pneumonia myself early last year. my left lung partially collapsed. i was on inhalers for months.

may God grant your son, and his wife, and baby good health. iam only too happy to pray for them all. God bless you, and them.

just curious, is there any chance that there is toxic mold in their home that they might not be aware of?

it seems rather odd that they get sick frequently without some kind of culprit causing it. aka, mold. do they live in a dry envronment? because when a bug goes around, and the atmosphere is dry, the lungs cannot properly expel the fluid in a cough.

i found out that living in a humid environment is better because its easier for the lungs to expel fluid when you cough. that is absolutely true. do they have a humidifier at home?

have them get someone over to check for toxic mold, its a nasty thing because it can hide where you least expect it.

Thank you so much, Kindred Spirit!

Thanks, Michele. That's a possibility. They are renting.

Did they ever find the cause for your pneumonia?

yes. it was a bad bug that was going around, and the fact that i smoke made it worse, plus the fact that calgary's air is extremely dry didn't help. it was for me, a combination of bad things. since we moved here to the humid environment of the lower mainland in BC i have hardly been sick at all.

of course, i have developed immunities from living in alberta as well.
