Art and Beauty Tuesday--Oksana Sulimova

This hopeful picture is Love in Rain by Oksana Sulimova. I love the 2 cats cuddling in the corner , mindless of the rain that falls around them and shines on the stone floor they sit on.

This is a really neat painting. I'd love to have a scrapbook of all the paintings you post and write about.

Interesting interpretation--I thought it was spooky and that you picked it for Halloween.

Thanks so much, Barbara!

RAnn--I thought about posting something about cats and Halloween but I didn't get to it.

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
