Poetry Wednesday--Edward Lear

This is a favorite poem of mine that I wanted to share. I wish I could find the version my son had on tape when he was a kid.

One of my childhood favorites, too.

I find it amazing that something as simple as this poem can make me feel so good.

Thanks very much for posting this...

I always said I'd get a sail boat one day, paint it green and call it "The Owl and the Pussycat."

Dymphna's favorite quotes

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
