Music Monday--In the Bleak Midwinter

I like to sing this song during Advent, because it often feels like "the bleak midwinter" both literally and spiritually, until our Savior comes.

Nice picture to focus on while listening to this song.

It is a great illustration of the song. Both are so fitting for this darker time of year.

You're welcome. I always make sure to chose this as an Advent hymn.

I love Chanticleer! I have a number of their recordings and they are just great to listen to.

Dymphna's favorite quotes

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
