Rest in Peace

A year ago today, my friend Eddie passed away from pancreas cancer.

This YouTube video shows Eddie and his twin brother performing in a musical based on The Prince and the Pauper they wrote while still in high school.  This performance is a year after they graduated.

Here, Eddie's lines introduce the song Free as a Bird and he sings the majority of the song.

Rest in Peace, Eddie.

What talent. I am sending out a heart-felt hug to Greg, who I am sure is missing Eddie tremendously. Eddie is still singing, of that I'm sure.

I don't think I realized the extent to Eddie's talent when I was young. I realized he was very talented, but he really had a special quality to his voice.

And, you are right--he's singing still! :)

Eternal rest grant unto Eddie O lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. And may he rest in peace. Amen.

Thank you so much, Michele.

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
