Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers--together again

To continue last week's Barkley's of Broadway theme, here is the trailer from that movie.  Keep in mind, as you watch it, that Ginger Rogers' part was supposed to be played by Judy Garland.  Astaire and Garland had just done the successful Easter Parade and this was seen as a follow up to that.  Unfortunately, Garland was unable to fulfill her contract due to illness, and the movie became a reunion movie for the famous Astaire/Rogers pair.

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
