Our Lady of Guadalupe Novena--Day 5

Novena Prayer--Day 5

O most holy Mother, I beg you to obtain for me pardon of all my sins, abundant graces to serve your Son more faithfully from now on, and lastly, the grace to praise Him with you forever in heaven. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be..
.

Our Lady's veil/mantel is a turquoise blue, which symbolizes royalty, and also, the fact that Our Lady is sent from Heaven. The gold boarder around the mantel also represents royalty.

Our Lady is Queen because Jesus is King. In ancient culture, kings often had more than one wife, therefore, the queen was the King's mother, not one of his wives. Let Mary lead you to her Son.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, Pray for us!

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
