Fred Astaire Friday

Ok, guys! I found a really neat vid for Fred Astaire Friday. This is from the film "Daddy Long Legs". The setting for this number is supposed to be a college dance (yeah I'm sure *that* was a long time ago, lol!) Anyway, Fred was playing a Texas millionare and he was 55 at the time of filming. (I guess there's still hope for me!)

One of the things I love about ds being at West Point is that for important occasions they have a formal dinner and a "hop". They normally have a DJ in one ballroom and a jazz band in the other. DS learned how to dance to the jazz band his plebe so he could dance with me. Not Fred Astaire (or Ginger Rogers) but still, those dances are some great memmories.

Oooooo!!!! In spite of our love of music, especially that era and type of music, dh and I can't dance our way out of a paper bag, really. That is SO cool that you got to dance with your DS to a JAZZ Band!!!
