Rest in Peace

Yesterday, Harvey Korman, 81, died from complications from an abdominal aortic aneurysm. He was best known for his comedy on The Carol Burnett Show, where he did some of his best work with comedian Tim Conway. May he rest in peace.

According to my cow-orker, he and Tim Conway were still performing together regularly until very recently. They always did the dentist routine, and when my cow-orker saw it, he said Tim STILL managed to break up Harvey onstage.

He will be missed.

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
