Mary, Our Mother

I need almost no excuse to re-post this video. Remember, Christ gave us His Mother to be our mother as He hung on the cross, suffering for our sins.

So I found a site you might find funny (or hate, haha)... there's a great site called "stuff christians like" that is a humorous take on the wacky things evangelical christians do, which i naturally find HILARIOUS. but then i stumbled across a site that is a play on that called "stuff catholics like (http://stuffcatholicslike.com/) and thought you would find it equally amusing (examples: "making saints" and "seeing non-catholics wear catholid stuff"). let me know if you like it : )

Hello there,
I came across your lovely website while I was looking for a picture of the statue that cured St Therese on this day in 1883. I hope you don't mind, but I put it on my blog for today. I thought you might like to know that today is the anniversary of the day a young St Therese was cured.

Thanks, AutumnRose!

Rebecca, I've run across Stuff Catholic's Like Blog before and it is hilarious! I can't argue with the statement of purpose: "This blog is about stuff Catholics like. Some of the stuff, like felt banners, Catholics shouldn’t like but do for reasons they will have to explain to God."

Kee--thanks for stopping by. I didn't know this was the anniversary of St. Therese's cure. Stop by again!

Oh my ... how beautiful ... there are tears in my eyes. What a privilege to have this lovely Lady as our Mother -- what a gift she is to all of us.

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
