You go, girl!!

Eighty-one year old Queen Elizabeth II of England has been voted one of the world's most glamorous women by Vogue magazine. Apparently, the accolade was not given to her majesty merely for her access to expensive apparel.

"She is as glamorous in her brogues and headscarf in Balmoral as she is wearing the crown jewels."

Do you realize that, if Elizabeth is still queen in 2016, she will have been the longest-reigning monarch in British history? Given the longevity of the Queen Mum, I think it's quite possible.

she always did look dignified in hat!

Wow, Cyg! 2016 would an incredibly long time for her to still be queen. As someone who is not a huge fan of Prince Charles, I wouldn't mind her being queen for that long though! Not to mention she is just great in her own right.

DM,

Yeah, she can *wear* the hats, that's for sure!

She is one dignified, impeccable lady.

I think it is the fact that dresses to suit herself and not the 'fashion critics'.

Dignity, decorum, discretion. The Queen embodies these virtues in a time where 'anything goes'. We can learn from her:).

Thanks 4HisChurch:)

Peace to you

Marie

Angela--dignified and impeccable describes her. And, Marie, dignity, decorum, and discretion--absolutely. Those of us younger than she would do well to imitate her.

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
