Memorization may be very out of fashion, but in my years as a catechist I've found it to be a powerful tool and a great gift. The delight of accomplishment on this little girl's face testifies to that!

You know,I thought of that issue, too. Its a shame that whole generations (including my own) have not been taught to memorize catechism and scripture.
