Cacti

This amazed me when I first moved up here.

This cactus is from our yard.

We live in Pennsylvania.

That's NORTH of the Mason-Dixon line.

And we have cacti that thrive on our hill and live through the winter.

I have got to walk around your yard the next time I come to your place. There are so many pictures you post that I haven't seen. The next time I come, I vow to make it a more liesurely visit where I can walk around your yard a bit -- before tea at that lovely shop you blogged about. : )

Lifeisgreat: That would be wonderful. If you don't hurry though, the cactus won't be in bloom!

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
