Today's Word for the Day

Don't be afraid to take a big step

if one is indicated.

You can't cross a chasm

in two small jumps.

Each time I face a chasm, I tremble with fear. Then I 'look' around to make sure my safety net is in place. All that requires is asking it to be. Amazingly, I always land safely on the other side. Sometimes I am a bit shaken from the ride, but I am always safe.

That's very helpful. Always make sure you know your safety net is there. That really helps.

Dymphna's favorite quotes

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
