Pre-op preparations

Tomorrow is my pre-op doctor's appointment. DH is very sweetly staying home to come with me. I would be grateful if you would remember me in your prayers.

Today I bought St. Faustina's Diary in hardback, to read during my recuperation. The thing is as thick as the Bible...or a dictionary! It will certainly keep me busy! Other post-op reading will include Peggy Noonan's John Paul the Great--Remembering a Spiritual Father and The Best Loved Poems of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

I'm also (trying) to learn to crochet. I want to get this under my belt a bit before surgery. My dream is to one day make myself a poncho.

You know I will be praying for you tomorrow. Tell DH I said, "Way to go" on taking off to go with you. Sounds like you have some nice reading picked out for your recovery period. And, if you get stuck on the crocheting, I can help you -- but I'm left handed.

I will pray for you tomorrow. I'm also reading St.Faustinas diary, very slowly too it's so "full". You will enjoy it i'm sure. My mother crochets well maybe someday she could teach me too.

Thanks, everyone! The crocheting is going predictably for my middle aged brain--it seems to work, and then the next time I pick it up, I've forgotten everything!
