Post surgical musings

Normally I loathe housekeeping. But, like an errant toddler, now that the doctor has said I can't do anything, I am noticing every bit of dust and every piece of paper on the floor! Its amazing how counter-suggestive the human mind is!

Whenever I have a big paper due, I get this incredible urge to clean. Of course, my dorm room last year was so messy during finals you couldn't see the 8 square feet of floor anyways, so it needed cleaning badly, but it is interesting how cleaning becomes desirable when you should be doing something else you don't want to do.

Exactly! For me, though, cleaning is usually the thing I am avoiding doing by "having" to do other things. In this case, its the cleaning that is crying out to me daily!
