Paris Riots
I'm sad about the Paris riots in the wake of the accidental electrocution deaths of two African teen agers in France. It brings back bad memories of the riots in the late 1960's in many U.S. cities. It is especially sad that problems in cities continue to exist across the globe. It's sad for France and sad for humanity.

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark

Sad indeed. We should pray for all those who live under socialist governments since they are taught entitlement and will riot for "their piece of the pie," until the government uses an iron fist, after which there will be perpetual misery.
Interesting point, although we had a similar problem in the 1960's. But some would argue that our own government is perilously close to socialism as it is.
