Double meaning

It has been pointed out to me that the title of this blog can have a double meaning. It can mean Dymphna's Well in the possessive sense, as it was intended, or it could mean Dymphna is well. I like the positive aspect of the latter interpretation. Certainly food for thought.

as the originator of that thought, let me add that I also thought of it in the collective, mystical sense. Through Dymphna and her charism, we (collectively as Dymphna...as in the Body of Christ) are well. If others are not well then we are not well. The idea of having a collective wellness based in Spirit and Truth.

Dymphna's favorite quotes

"Slavery ended in medieval Europe only because the church extended its sacraments to all slaves and then managed to impose a ban on the enslavement of Christians (and of Jews). Within the context of medieval Europe, that prohibition was effectively a rule of universal abolition. "— Rodney Stark
